The village has two pubs, an excellent restaurant, village store and post office. There is also a beachfront café and a fish and chip vendor. The village is situated on the Pilgrims Way with excellent coastal and country walks.
Available locally are sea fishing, sailing, bird watching, and tennis. Golf and pony trekking can be found within 7 miles, whilst the market town of Carmarthen is just 9 miles away, with a good selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and a leisure centre. There are also other family activities in the area – the National Botanical Garden of Wales, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a Steam Railway and Oakwood Theme Park.
